Your first option is to leave your library behind when you move. If your neighbors love the library and it gets lots of visitors where it is, the best move might be to let it stay behind. If you decide to do this, be sure to talk to the new homeowners to make sure that they know what the library is, and that they are willing to take care of it. Arrange to transfer your library to the new homeowners so that they can maintain its information on the Little Free Library world map.
Your second option is to take the library with you and install it at your new home. If you go this route, don’t forget to log in to your steward account and update the library’s address to make sure it appears in the right spot on our world map!
Within your steward account, you can also change your library’s Map Status to Temporarily Taken Down during the move. That will remove the library from public view on our map. Whenever you’re ready, change your library’s Map Status back to Mapped at its new address and it will appear on the map once more.
