Little Free Library Art Contest Launches in NYC
Calling all student artists in New York City! Enter our contest to design artwork for five special Little Free Library® book-sharing boxes inspired by the Read in Color® program.
Read in Color is an initiative bringing diverse books to Little Free Libraries around the world. When we read books that amplify BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized voices, we can build a more inclusive future.
Youth living in New York City can reimagine the panel artwork on Read in Color Little Free Libraries to add a uniquely NYC theme! The current design is pictured below.
From the submitted entries, one grand prize winner, four finalists, and ten honorable mentions will be selected. The grand-prize winner’s artwork will appear on five “Read in Color” Little Free Libraries in New York City. They will also receive eight NYCFC tickets, a $250 gift certificate to Bookshop.org, and an award certificate with a picture of their artwork. Four finalists will receive four NYCFC tickets, a $50 gift certificate to Bookshop.org and an award certificate with a picture of their artwork.
