Want to support Little Free Library’s programs by building book-sharing boxes with your team?
A library build event is a great option! A Build Event is an in-person event that involves groups of 3-4 working together to assemble Little Free Library book-sharing boxes. These team-building events allow your team to share in our mission to expand book access and encourage a love of reading.
How does it work?
Each Composite Library kit takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete in teams of 3-4 volunteers. Then the built Little Free Library is placed back into the shipping carton and sent to the selected recipient.
For your event, Little Free Library identifies placement opportunities for the completed libraries, secures volunteer stewards, manages logistics, and connects installations to our larger network.
What’s included?
Included with your Build Event package purchase is the Little Free Library kit, custom signage, and materials to ship the finished library.
The remaining items will be shipped directly to the library recipient: an installation kit (either post kit or leg assembly), decorating panels, and charter sign with official charter number.
The price per package includes all shipping charges, as well as all library placement fees.

Book Buddies
Looking to do more than just build Little Free Libraries? Participate in an additional project in tandem with your library build by making Book Buddies! These lovable stuffed animals are reading companions for children and create confidence in young readers who are learning to read. Little Free Library can assist with donating completed Book Buddies if needed.
Book Donations
