Here at Little Free Library, we’re big fans of independent bookstores! Connecting Little Free Library stewards to their local bookstores is one of our goals for creating sustainable, long-term book access ecosystems.
That’s why we’ve developed a directory of LFL-Friendly Booksellers to help connect Little Free Library stewards to their local bookstores, encouraging them to shop local and to deepen relationships within their communities.
This directory is accessible by logging into your steward account in the web portal or mobile app. You can search the map to see if there are any participating bookstores near you! Bookstores offer a variety of resources, from hosting steward events at your bookstore to donating surplus books to stewards and offering steward-only discounts. Interested in adding your bookstore to the directory? Fill out this form.
In celebration of this new resource, we wanted to highlight three of our favorite local bookstores in the Twin Cities (where Little Free Library is headquartered) that are participants in the directory!
