As a retired library employee, I am committed to sharing diverse books in my LFL.
Because Diversity Matters!
I am an elementary school teacher in a diverse school district. I feel it is extremely important for children of all races, colors, and abilities to be featured in books. Children need to be reading and enjoying books with characters that ‘look like them’ and those they can relate to!
I think representation matters for ALL children!
I have always looked for books in color! Some of the very best books to read!
