We need to take steps to stop systemic oppression for all and I think this is a good way to get involved in doing that!
This is a way to distribute books boasting diverse perspectives on subjects like racism, social justice, and celebrating BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) and LGTBQ literature. .

I’m using why Little Free Library to supplement my efforts to give to children in my community, and the Read in Color pledge is a perfect way to do this.
Because literature should give all of us windows and mirrors. All children should have the opportunity to see themselves in books.
I believe in books being windows, mirrors and sliding doors… this initiative supports that research. The world needs more diverse texts and stories being shared!
