You may have seen the story of Sharalee Armitage Howard, a librarian in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, who transformed a 110-year-old tree in her yard into an amazing Little Free Library. In Everett, Washington, resident Sara Sanders embarked on a similar project to create a not-so-little Library out of a 120-foot cedar tree in her yard.

It turns out Howard and Sanders aren’t the only ones to take a dying tree and give it another purpose. Check out the slideshow below to see 11 epic Little Free Libraries carved from trees! If you’re ready to take a road trip to visit all of these amazing Libraries, you can find them all on our world map. Hover over any image in the slideshow below to reveal the Library’s charter number and location.
