Hate has no place in the Little Free Library community. We actively work to foster a network that respects diversity, promotes inclusivity, and celebrates the richness of different perspectives and backgrounds. To this end, we do not tolerate hate materials in Little Free Library book-sharing boxes.
If you find hate materials in your Little Free Library, please record the details and report the incident to the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division or the Southern Poverty Law Center. Hate materials may include flyers, pamphlets, or other propaganda that disparages racial, ethnic, or religious groups. If the materials include a threat of violence, report it to your local authorities.
Little Free Library book-sharing boxes are open to all, creating more equitable access to books. While this accessibility is part of our mission, it may result in rare cases of abhorrent acts. We condemn this behavior. The vast majority of experiences within our network are positive, community-minded, and welcoming. Thank you for making this possible by being part of the Little Free Library community.
