As a person of color, I know the importance of representation, especially while growing up. If I can play a part in bringing different cultures and diversity to light in my community, I will.
We want kids to find heroes that they identify with. We also want adults to see the humanity in people that are different from themselves.
We, the members of St Paul Lutheran Church, are setting a table where all are welcome by working to dismantle racism in ourselves, our communities and our institutions.
I am committed to equity, inclusion , diversity and accessibility. I think everyone should grow up reading books about people who look like them and share their culture.
As a person of color, and an appreciator of multi-cultural voices in literature, I want to share my experience and interests with my community.
