My life is enriched by diversity. I don’t want to miss out. I also want to support diverse authors and illustrators . There is so much to learn and enjoy from them- for children and adults.
It is so important to start educating children as young as possible that we are all created equal – yes, we are all different on the outside but we all deserve to be treated equally.
I pledge because I want to help bridge the gap of inequality through access to diverse literature regardless of race, culture, belief, age or gender as reading makes dreams possible and should be available for all.
I support finding and sharing books that illustrate diverse children and families.
