Representation matters. I want everyone to be able to identify with characters in books. Diverse books are empowering and allow us to understand more about the people and world around us.
I always try to find books for my LFL that represent ALL sorts of people, countries, beliefs and cultures. Understanding leads to acceptance.
As a Latinx author of children’s books, I believe that all children need to be seen, heard, understood and accepted.
As an independent publisher and author we know that it is crucial to spread diverse stories and voices. We are honored to support the Read in Color Pledge that champions this important message.
