The Chrysalis Project, Little Free Library located at Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield, NJ is dedicated to inspiring the BIPOC community in which we are members. Our intentions is to make the gift of reading free and enjoyable to all who care to learn. We are in the blessing business.
Because it is needed. So many threats to diversity in libraries and school libraries at this challenging time in our country.
My little kids library at my corner lot is very active-refill every other week. Also a Doggie Box which gets used a lot. Great Neighbors keep bringing new books plus folks who lost their puppies, bring all items for others to use. We have my neighbors ring our door bell.
In this divisive time in US history it is so important for all people to learn compassion and understanding.
My dad always said he didn’t need to leave his chair to travel, he just needed a book. Likewise, we can learn about fellow humans through quality literature written by diverse authors.

Our Little Free Library is located in our churches picnic shelter area and open to a neighborhood of over 300 homes.
