Already have a book-sharing box? Can’t afford the full cost of the official charter signs? Little Free Library grants a limited number of free or reduced-cost charter signs to those who cannot afford to pay the full cost ($39.95 plus shipping).

Before you apply, please note the following:
- This opportunity is open to applicants worldwide.
- Applicants will be notified of their status within the month after applying.
- Little Free Library has limited capacity and may not be able to fulfill all requests.

Who is Eligible?
Applicants who do not meet the following requirements will not be eligible.
- The applicant must be 18 years or older.
- Have permission to apply on behalf of an organization (if applicable).
- Have a local person responsible for and with regular access to each library.
- Have all libraries installed or ready to install before applying.
- Have confirmed library location(s) with all permissions/permits approved.*
- One application per household or organization per year.
*Property owners are advised that zoning and other restrictions may affect the location. Applicants need all permissions and permits before submitting an application.
Recipient Agreement
- Install all libraries with charter signs.
- Set up your steward account and add all library locations and photos to the Little Free Library world map.
- Maintain all libraries and fill them with books for at least one year.
- Hold one or more community activities or events in the first year.
- Submit a photo and story about the impact of each library after installation.
- Credit Little Free Library and tag Little Free Library on social media.
- Respond to follow-up communications from Little Free Library.
