Do you know someone who isn’t quite sold on Little Libraries? Looking to make a case for why they are important and valuable?
Look no further. Madison is in 3rd grade and she loves Little Free Libraries…like, really loves them. She might be the most enthusiastic supporter we have met so far.
This 3-minute video is priceless. Don’t miss it – you can’t help but smile after the first minute.
This video is part of a great story about Little Free Libraries coming to Cleveland, Ohio by WKYC.

What an advocate Madison is for books and LFLs. I wish more of my students had that same passion for reading and sharing knowledge. She is a breath of fresh air!
I’m calling it right now. Madison is destined to have her own TV show and/or will become President of the United States. What an entertaining vid!! LOL!
Madison is a wonderful spokesperson. I’m sure she’ll have a bright and happy future.
Wow, such enthusiasm ! :). Does she hope to be a Librarian someday ?, because she’ll definitely make a good one. 🙂
Madison is awesome!
Madison is so enthusiastic and such a good speaker! Our Little Free Library is at the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Uganda, what Madison says is just as true in Kyangwali as in the United States. Books are wonderful!
We are going to send this message around the world via the Pass It On Network! Never was there a better advocate for books and Little Free Libraries!
I have been looking for years for a way to honor the memories of my sons with books. They loved books. Reading to them was a huge part of our lives.
I am a senior now, but I have not stopped reading. I have been reading since I was 5 years old. Everyone needs a passion for literature. Reading is knowledge forever.
I get the feeling that Martin Luther King Jr. must have sounded about this passionate in his “I have a dream speech.”
A world without books would be a sorry place indeed.
The world needs books!
Madison is amazing! I know people get tired of me going on about my LFL, but this is how I feel too.
How cute!! Books you love do have that affect on you!!
Awesome Madison!!
Madison should be the mascot for LFLs or the face of LFLs around the world. She is wonderful and makes you smile!
I loved this she is a blessing! My students was so happy and excited to see this. I showed it to my school, GREAT Job!

As president of a Friends of the Library organization, I have the opportunity to not only believe in Little Free Libraries, but also have the resources to both stock the 8 LFL’s in our community but to plan to install 8 more. We place them in areas where there are a lot of children, especially children at educational risk, such as low-income families and minorities. The greatest advantage of LFL’s in my mind is that when a child or young person is in the mood to read, there are books available and there is no need to go to a school or library, and no late charges, etc. I would challange all Friends of the Library organizations to suport and promote LFL’s for their communities. That can only be good for the community and great for the young people in that community!
My friend & I would like to know how to set up a free standing book library to give away used books both to adults & children in our communities in Iowa!
Incidentally, here is Wichita Falls, Texas, we also place inspirational and motivational books for adults, some National Geographics, a Reader’s Digest Condensed Book or two, a hymnal, a book or two of poetry, a dictionary, and as available, reference books or other non-fiction items. All LFL’s get some use, others get a lot of use, most get new books and magazines from area users and in the last couple of years, only one LFL was damaged by fireworks. We request help from area stores for building materials and solicit volunteers to help build new LFL’s. Community involvement all around.
