Whoopi Goldberg and Little Free Library on The View

Are Little Free Libraries one of your favorite things? Turns out that Whoopi Goldberg loves them, too!

The television host included Little Free Libraries at the top of her list of “Whoopi Goldberg’s Favorite Things” on the November 14 episode of The View. Watch the segment here:

Through our Impact Fund, Little Free Library works to place book exchanges where they can make a difference. The five Little Free Libraries featured on The View were shipped to our newest Impact Fund Library recipients, as part of Whoopi’s birthday celebration. She even asked the audience to bring books to add to the Libraries.

“For my birthday, every member of our studio audience brought a book that was meaningful to them,” Whoopi said. “We filled five Libraries today, and we’re going to give them away to five communities that applied online to receive them. So, congratulations to Jersey City, New Jersey; Navarre, Florida; Los Angeles, California; Whiteville, North Carolina; and Cincinnati, Ohio!”

In return for sharing their books, every member of the audience got a copy of The Little Free Library Book and the Kids Around the World coloring book.

Thank you to both Whoopi and The View for being such gracious hosts and sharing our message of the joy and power of sharing books.

Whoopi’s last word on starting or using a Little Free Library? “It’s a wonderful thing to do!”
