What’s the one thing better than reading an amazing story? Sharing it with others! That’s why we’re working with Goodreads (the world’s largest community of readers, with 95 million members) to create a global week of book sharing. Give A Good Read Week runs from September 16 – 22.

It’s easy to participate:

  1. Visit a Little Free Library book-sharing box.
  2. Share a good book.
  3. Snap a photo.
  4. Post it on social with #LFL10 and #GiveAGoodRead.

By taking part in Give a Good Read Week, you’re not only sharing books with others, you’re helping to build a global sense of community.

Follow along all week to see photos from Little Free Library stewards and friends, plus well-known writers like Kristin Hannah, author of The Great Alone, and Malaka Gharib, author of I Was Their American Dream.

Kristin Hannah contributes a favorite book to a Little Free Library book-sharing box.

Malaka Gharib drops off a copy of I WAS THEIR AMERICAN DREAM at a Little Free Library in her Washington DC neighborhood.
