Help Raise Funds for the Little Free Library Nonprofit

Why Run a Fundraiser for Little Free Library?

Studies have repeatedly shown that access to books is the single strongest predictor of a child’s ability to read and succeed academically. But in the United States, two out of three children living in poverty have no books to read. In some low-income neighborhoods, there is only one book per 300 children. With schools and public libraries closed, little libraries provide essential book access for many struggling families. We have already granted more than 1,250 libraries through our programs, but the need is great. By running a fundraiser, you help us grant more little libraries where they’re needed most.

Run a Fundraiser and Earn an Exclusive Medallion

Both Facebook Fundraisers and House Parties are fun and effective ways to bring others into the Little Free Library circle of supporters. Your support will help us grant little libraries to high-needs communities through our Impact Library Program and expand programs like Read in Color that aim to spread diverse books and amplify BIPOC voices.

If you raise $100 or more for Little Free Library through a Facebook or House Party Fundraiser, you’ll earn a Read in Color commemorative medallion for your little library!

IMPORTANT: After you run your fundraiser, fill out the form at the bottom of the page to request your medallion. By submitting the form, you notify LFL staff that you have run a fundraiser so that we may follow up.

Your Fundraiser Creates Stories Like These

My Little Free Library is right near the high school where I teach. There are people out there starving for books. Each time I drop by my library, I need to fill it back up. I have been able to go by and actually see people browsing for books, which is so exciting!

Tamara Schoen

Teacher, Coral Springs, Florida

I love that our Impact Library is open 24/7/365. On breaks and weekends, students have access to books, and so do their parents…. Our little library has helped us create joyful readers who have access to books any time they’d like.

Anna Kelly

Teacher, Greenbriar Elementary in Indianapolis, Indiana

The impact that the Little Free Library will have on the students, clients and families we serve is truly incredible. What better way to support literacy than through a hands-on approach that this library will provide?

President and CEO, Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans
